Concert lovers rejoice!
Toronto rapper Kardinal Offishall is looking to bring live music back to the city. Starting June 30th, the Universal Canada record executive will be launching a concert series, which you can watch safely from your car at the CityView Drive-In, located at 20 Polson Street.
The show will include DJs, entertainers and celebrities from the city and elsewhere. Some of the big names scheduled to appear are comedians Dave Chappelle and Micheal Che from Saturday Night Live. There are also a few locals on the list, like Karl Wolf, Shantel May, Raptors’ DJ 4 Korners, Jamar McNeil from Chum FM and many more.
The event, called Free The City, will be hosted by Raptors in-game emcee Mark Strong and Kardinal himself. Although the concert is free, the hip-hop icon has set up a GoFundMe page for the performers who haven’t been able to work for the past year.
