Toronto hip-hop artist ROCHESTER has a message for naysayers in his latest single “Hold up, Wait!”
The Darius King/Taabu produced record is an ode to those who go for what they want, and the many struggles they face when chasing their dream, while proving their peers and others wrong. ROCHESTER goes as far as calling out those who give him that fake love, simply by just telling them ‘hold up, wait.’
The track features up-and-coming rapper Fame Holiday from Mississauga, Ontario. Known for his signature sounding hooks and melodies, Fame first broke into the music scene in 2018 when he released his single “Saucy”, and his highly acclaimed EP, Made For This.
ROCHESTER is no stranger to Canada’s music scene, having been in it for several years working alongside a few industry greats, including OVO Sound producer Boi-1da, whom he teamed up with for his singles “Grateful” and “Pull Up.” In 2017, the Toronto legend dropped “Good Vibes”, a song well received by fans and many others who dubbed it ‘Toronto’s summer anthem’ that same year.
