Dynamic R&B duo Silk Sonic, made up of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, are back with another smooth track titled “Skate.”
The follow-up to “Leave the Door Open” also gets its own vintage music video, where both artists are seen playing the drums outdoors, while a group of women skate around them.
“Skate” is set to appear on the group’s debut studio album, An Evening With Silk Sonic. No official release date has been announced yet, however the project is expected to drop later this year. In an interview with Zane Lowe, Bruno and Anderson spoke about how the album started out as a jam session with friends. “It was like, ‘Well, want to come back tomorrow?’ And we kept coming up with music. It felt like why you fall in love with music in the first place. And jamming with your buddy,” Bruno said.
