Kendrick Lamar returns with a killer new verse for the Baby Keem collab, “Family Ties.”
On the track, both Lamar and Keem dominate with their lyrical ability. The song is also accompanied by a music video, directed by Dave Free and starring R&B singer Normani.
Kendrick recently announced that his upcoming album will be his last under Top Dawg Entertainment. “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” he wrote in a statement. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling. There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.” K-Dot is likely to move to his own company, pgLang.
“Family Ties” will be featured on Keem’s highly-anticipated upcoming album, The Melodic Blue.
