Tory Lanez Goes Back In Time On New Album ‘Alone At Prom’

Tory Lanez brings the 80’s back on his new project Alone At Prom.

The Canadian artist released his latest studio album on Friday and unlike his previous work, Tory puts a spin on it–and does not disappoint. While he has been teasing new music for some time now, the singer/rapper introduces us to his alter ego, Ashton Rain.

“Ashton Rain is a mixture of Hall & Oates, Toto, Michael Jackson, Rick James and more. The music was so retro and nostalgic that the character had to be created and authenticated through film, picture and music video,” said Lanez. “Ashton Rain is today’s last hope of getting a full catalog now and later of pure pop, R&B, alternative and 80’s rock music and I’m excited for everyone to hear what I’ve poured my passion into with the Alone At Prom album.”

Tory certainly makes us feel nostalgic on this 80’s inspired LP, with songs like “Lady of Namek” and “‘87 Stingray”.
