Tune in to Dawn FM.
The Weeknd has released his fifth studio album after hinting at new music for the past few weeks. Dawn FM takes inspiration from the ’80s, with tracks like “Out of Time”, the upbeat “How Do I Make You Love Me?”, and “Sacrifice”, where the singer has a Michael Jackson moment midway through the song. The 16-track project starts with the crooner setting the mood on “Dawn FM”, which is then later taken over by actor Jim Carrey serving as a radio DJ.
Other appearances on the album include producer Quincy Jones, rappers Tyler, the Creator and Lil Wayne, as well as electronic artist Oneohtrix Point Never. Along with the release of the album, the Toronto singer also held an exclusive live stream experience with Amazon Music. The Weeknd’s cover art certainly raised a few eyebrows, however this new look may be part of a visual evolution, one he started with a bloody and bandaged face for his previous record After Hours.
