Singer and actor Tristan “Mack” Wilds is set to host Profiled: The Black Man, a brand new docuseries presented by discovery+ and OWN.
The four-part series takes a look at the stereotypes that have impacted the lives of Black men in America for centuries. Each week, every episode will highlight and debunk a different stereotype, starting with the premiere airing tonight titled “Black Men Are Dangerous.” The entire docuseries will feature historical footage, real-life accounts and commentary from renowned thought leaders. It will also celebrate the achievements of some men who were able to change the narrative.
Profiled: The Black Man is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions with P. Frank Williams as showrunner. Tina Knowles-Lawson and Trell Thomas serve as the executive producers.
