Queen Bey is back!
After much speculation on social media, Beyoncé has announced that her seventh studio album, titled Renaissance, will be released on July 29. The singer shared the news late Wednesday night after updating her website with merchandise and a pre-order link, as well as her Instagram bio, which read “act i RENAISSANCE 7.29”.
The 40-year-old graces the cover of British Vogue and its editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful, got an early listen to the much-anticipated album. “Soaring vocals and fierce beats combine and in a split second I’m transported back to the clubs of my youth. I want to get up and start throwing moves. It’s music I love to my core. Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul. As ever with Beyoncé, it is all about the intent. I sit back, after the wave, absorbing it all.”
Renaissance will be Beyoncé’s first solo project since Lemonade.
