H.E.R. shared some new music on Friday, a cover of Sly and the Family Stone’s 1967 hit “Dance To The Music”. The single is from the soundtrack to the new animated feature film Minions: The Rise of Gru.
The Jack Antonoff-produced project also features Diana Ross, Kali Uchis, St. Vincent and many more, covering hit ’70s tracks from Kool & the Gang, Nancy Sinatra and the Carpenters, to name a few.
“Dance To The Music” is a funky tune that sees the R&B songstress singing over a groovy melody and as always, she delivers!
Minions: The Rise of Gru (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) will be released on Friday, July 1.
