The Queen of Pop and Queen Bey unite!
Beyoncé surprised her fans on Friday with a remix to her hit single “Break My Soul”. “The Queens Remix”, which marks the first collaboration between the two female artists, was released exclusively for download on Beyonce.com. Madonna posted a short clip of the 6-minute track on Instagram.
On the dance song, Beyoncé emulates a well-known portion of Madonna’s ’90s classic “Vogue”, and pays tribute to several female artists.
Betty Davis, Solange Knowles / Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl’ (You know you can do it)
Lauryn Hill, Roberta Flack / Toni, Janet, Tierra Whack (Let your body move to the music)
Missy, Diana, Grace Jones / Aretha, Anita, Grace Jones (Hey, hey, hey)
“Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” appears on the four-track remix EP that Beyoncé dropped last week, along with remixes from will.i.am and Honey Dijon.
