Tyga provides a much-needed dose of Vitamin D with his new song “Sunshine”.
The rapper taps Jhené Aiko for his new uplifting track, and adds a posthumous verse from Pop Smoke. “Pop Smoke was a legend in the making and I wish we could’ve collaborated together more,” said Tyga. The music video for “Sunshine”, which features the late rapper’s mother and brother, also dropped – and it’s giving us major 2000s vibes!
“It’s a been a great experience working with his mother and brother to pay homage with this song and contributing to keeping his legacy alive—the smoke will never clear,” added Tyga. “Sunshine” samples Lil Flip’s 2004 hit single of the same name, and its old-school vibe is just enough to make us feel nostalgic.
Tyga is currently touring in Europe but fans are waiting for fall to arrive, as the rapper is set to release the follow-up to his 2019 album Legendary.
