It’s “her loss.”
Following a week of spoof promos (I’ll admit, I fell for that Tiny Desk performance) Drake and 21 Savage have dropped their long-awaited joint project, Her Loss. The Toronto rapper takes the lead on the 16-track set, which only has one feature, with Travis Scott appearing on “Pussy & Millions.” Album highlights include the fiery “Circo Loco,” which samples Daft Punk’s classic hit “One More Time,” “Middle of the Ocean” and “Spin Bout U.”
The duo came up with a clever way to promote their collaborative album, by trolling fans with a string of fake press appearances, including a Vogue magazine cover, a Tiny Desk performance, and an interview on The Howard Stern Show.
Her Loss was set to drop on October 28 but was pushed back a week after producer Noah “40” Shebib tested positive for COVID-19 during the mixing and mastering process.
Drake and 21 Savage have worked together many times in recent years, with hits like “Knife Talk”, “Mr. Right Now” and “Jimmy Cooks”, and it looks like both rappers do not miss on this body of work either (no surprise there!)
