Rihanna is set to join the cast of The Smurfs Movie.
The superstar will voice the role of Smurfette in the new animated movie from Paramount Animation. The film is slated to hit theaters in February 2025. Rih made a surprise appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday to announce the big news.
“Getting to do animation is a fun journey for me,” the singer said at the event. “I got to play a part and just imagine. I got to just be myself. I got to show up in my pyjamas in my third trimester and play a little blue badass.” Rihanna, who is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, will also serve as a producer.
Although fans are excited about RiRi’s new role, most of them are still waiting on new music. So are we Navy…so are we.
