Cole and Durkio have a hit!
As Lil Durk readies his upcoming album Almost Healed, the Chicago rapper drops his new single “All My Life” featuring J. Cole. On the motivational track, Durk reflects on his journey and how far he’s come, and how he’s beaten the odds.
All my life (All my life)
They been tryin’ to keep me down (They been tryin’ to keep me down)
All this time (All this time)
Never thought I would make it out (Never thought I’d make it out)
Cole starts off the track with some impressive bars, and his impeccable wordplay does not go unnoticed.
Lately, I just wanna show up and body some shit, yeah, yeah
Always been a lil’ mathematician, lately it’s cash I’m gettin’
Got me losin’ count of these bags, I’ve been movin’ too fast
Hard times don’t last, ‘member when cops harrassed
Talkin’ out my ass, boy, you ain’t shit but a bitch with a badge
This is the first time both rappers link up, but hopefully not the last. “All My Life” will be featured on Lil Durk’s project, which drops on May 26. As for J. Cole, he was recently in the news thanks to last month’s Dreamville Festival, which he co-headlined along with Drake and Usher.
