Big Sean and Hit-Boy are hip-hop’s latest dynamic duo!
The Detroit emcee teams up with producer Hit-Boy for their new collaborative EP, What You Expect. While Sean has proven himself many times to be one of the greatest rappers out there, this project is one more reason to appreciate the talented artist that he is. The 33-year-old delivers from start to finish, displaying his rapping abilities throughout the project, which he couldn’t wait to drop.
What You Expect features appearances from Bryson Tiller, Lil Durk, Babyface Ray and 42 Dugg. Sean released the lead single “What A Life” just last week, along with an interesting bee-filled music video.
In addition to the new EP, the rapper announced on Twitter that after 14 years, he is no longer signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label. “That’s a forever brotherhood, but business wise, I had to start getting a bigger cut! I worked my way out that deal,” he said. In another tweet, Sean revealed that this project has been released through his own label. “By the way this the first project where I’m on my own label as well, no more lil dawg shit!!!! I bossed up! #DONLIFE.”
